The Book Of Clarence...The Blind Boys Of Alabama, A Musical Story

Clarence Fountain was an American gospel singer and founding member of the Blind Boys of Alabama. He was born on November 28, 1929, in Tyler, Alabama, and died on June 3, 2018, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Fountain lost his sight at the age of two due to an eye infection. He began singing in church at a young age, and in 1939, he co-founded the Blind Boys of Alabama with four other friends. The group quickly became one of the most popular gospel groups in the country, and they have continued to tour and record for over 70 years.
